Once again we've had another amazing day with our campers. Today was their last full day of activities, and a ton of fun was had by everyone. We were also able to hear about what our campers learned in their Bible study groups tonight, as each group did a presentation for their fellow campers. This evening, our campers were able to participate in a communion service complete with a beautiful sunset across the lake here on our camp grounds. They sang God's praises and prayed for one another to walk with Christ now and when they leave camp. As the week comes to an end, we hope that our campers were able to really experience God's love tonight and throughout the entire week. We are excited for tomorrow and getting to see our campers experience another day with their new friends!! Our Day Camp Adventurers have had quite an eventful week as well! Today, they were able to participate in horse petting and explore nature on a creek walk. They too have been able to form many friendships here at camp, and they have spread joy wherever they go. We are excited to see them tomorrow morning for one more great and fun filled day to conclude their week with us at camp!

Our day campers had another eventful day as well. They were able to hike and explore Cloudland Canyon State Park and see all the beauty of God's creation in nature with all of their friends. They were also able to enjoy a picnic together, followed by a creek walk on the camp grounds to see what kind of critters and others things they can discover! We are so glad to have them with us this week and hope tomorrow has just as many fun times and good memories as today!

Several of our campers were able to hike and explore Cloudland Canyon State Park, as well as going caving and participating in many more activities of their choosing. After a morning of activities, our campers were able to enjoy Bible study and some time with Christ before heading off to their various afternoon activities. Tonight, our campers got to enjoy a carnival complete with games, tickets, and prizes! We had such a great day today welcoming all of our different campers! Even though the rain and storms got a little heavy, we still managed to have a great time as always. Our morning started out with several group games to get to know one another. Our campers were also able to choose the activities they will participate in this week; we are crossing our fingers for a little less rain when those take place! Our groups were also able to enjoy swim time as well as some group singing and dancing this evening before their worship time. They are currently anxiously awaiting milk and cookies to be delivered to their cabins by our staff before they are off to bed for the night! We are hoping for another great day tomorrow and can’t wait to see our campers grow in friendship with one another! We also have a wonderful new Day Camp Adventure group this week! They were also able to enjoy some pool time today and cool off with some ice cold freeze pops, as well as making crafts. We are all looking forward to their return tomorrow for another fun filled day!
Junior High service week is coming to a close and our campers have done an outstanding job improving the camp grounds and helping those around the community. Last night they were able to enjoy some fun at the pool after a day filled with service and activities. Tonight we are preparing to have worship time, bible study, communion, and a celebration. We cannot wait to see the campers experience all of these and embrace their relationships with Christ even more tonight. Although, we will be sad to see them go tomorrow they have all left their mark somehow this week in the projects they have completed. Our day campers had another exciting day today! They were able to explore God's creations in nature while also getting to splash around in the creek for a while on this beautifully sunny day!
This morning has been another day filled with service and teamwork here at camp! Our junior high students worked together with The Mustard Tree, Brainerd UMC, Widow's Harvest, Sand Mountain, and Harrison Farm today. They helped to organize food donations, clean the environment, and pass out sack lunches to the homeless, as well as many other tasks! We also had groups on our grounds working on our new zip line and giving the lodge porch a nice fresh coat of paint, as well as our new horse corral. Last night our campers had the chance to learn some fun group dances and some new worship songs here at camp. This afternoon our campers will be participating in a camp activity of their choosing once again. We are hoping for good weather tonight as we have a pool party scheduled for all our hard working campers! We are looking forward to the rest of the week and continuing to see our campers use their talents and grow in their relationships with Christ. Our day campers had an exciting day today exploring the beauty of God's creation at Cloudland Canyon Park! They were even able to stop off for some fun play time on the jungle gym and swings. They were also lucky enough to have some great weather for plenty of pool time as well as making beautiful crafts today. We are looking forward to seeing what adventures are in store for them tomorrow!
FINALLY! The week we have all been waiting for all year....the first week of camp!! This week we have a large group of Junior High students with us that are not only participating in our camp activities but are also working on various service projects around the area as well as on the camp grounds. All of our campers are getting the chance to help their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ as well as maintaining a beautiful environment on their different job sites. They have all been able to use their individual talents as well, to work as a team of support for one another to complete any given task! But what is hard work without a little fun?! Today at Camp Lookout we were also finally blessed with lots of sunshine for our various afternoon activities. Our campers were able to participate in activities they chose for themselves after they finished a morning of service. We are so excited for more fun to come this week as well as seeing all the campers handwork paying off as they complete their projects! Camp Lookout also has a wonderful group of Day Campers this week as well that include rising First and Second Graders. These little ones have also been having lots of fun today as well, they were even able to pet our friend Buddy, a horse that lives at camp as one of their activities today! They were even lucky enough to go for a treasure hunt all over the camp grounds as well as swim time! We are so excited to have them here, even if just for the day, and are excited for the rest of their week filled with fun!
