Confirmation retreat
March 3 &4, 2023
(if your group would like to stay a SECOND night, please contact camp to make arrangements )
Cost:
Youth: $95 ; Adult: $85

Confirmation is a huge first step for a young Christian to take. It teaches a child about the importance of faith, as well as being a responsible member for his/her church family.
Whereas many Confirmation events are held by one church group, the Confirmation Retreat at Camp Lookout consists of multiple church groups learning together to increase the child's grasp of the community and fellowship that he/she is now a part of.
Each church wanting to participate should contact Camp Lookout directly to register. Please make sure to have a 1 to 7 ratio of adults to youth (per gender) attending.

We will begin our time with dinner and then will gather as a group in the chapel for recreation and singing. During that time, we will also engage in a time of Faith Building, which will include a time for confirmands to create (with instruction) their own stole. Our time together will have three active workshops. Subjects include Worship, Sacraments, and United Methodist History. Toward the end of our weekend, confirmands will participate in an active learning adventure, which will summarize all they have learned during the workshops. After that, we will have a time of worship and communion. We will also have a sending forth service, in which confirmands will have their stole placed on them by an adult leader from their congregation.
