“Come and See”
Parent Curriculum Guide

To Parents of Campers:

Campers participate in singing, worship, and Bible study every day at camp.  This guide is designed to help you know what your campers are studying and give you a Biblical point of connection to them and their camp experience.

Our overall theme this year is “Come and See.”  It is an invitation that Jesus extends to his first disciples.  It is a rather gentle, non-demanding invitation, as is our approach with your children.  Our greatest hope is that all our campers grow in their understanding of God’s love for them through their Bible studies and through the way they are treated while they are at camp.

Our theme verse comes from Psalms 66:5.  A combination of the Common English Version (CEV) and the Message reads like this: “Come and see the awesome things our God has done for us. They’ll take your breath away.”

We are loved by an awesome God.  Understanding the magnitude of that love leaves us breathless.

We invite you to take a little time each day while your camper is at camp first to pray for your camper and the staff who lead them.  Once you have done this, please access the Curriculum Guide for Parents tab on the camp website: (give address)

The instructions will lead you through a very brief time of Bible study that corresponds with the Bible studies that campers are doing each day at camp.  May your heart and spirit be united with the heart and spirit of your camper so that your blessings from God might be full and overflowing.

(Note: Day Campers and Younger Elementary Half-Week Campers will participate in Bible study, but not in the in depth approach found here.)
