  Camp Lookout

summer camp

"Camp Lookout is a great way to have fun and find yourself in Jesus." ~Jason, age 15
"I loved that all the activities at Camp Lookout were related to spreading God's love and reaching out to Him." ~Brian, age 9

Summer Camp, What to Expect!

Picture
Each week at Camp Lookout is packed with fun, adventure, fellowship, learning, worship, and excitement. Each camper will live in a cabin with fellow campers of the same age and gender under the caring supervision of a minimum of two counselors. Cabins are air conditioned with bunk beds, and many have bathroom facilities in the cabin. With our centralized style of camping, participants will have the opportunity to fellowship with many other campers in their own age group, select their individual daily activities (Day Camp Adventures, Taste of Camp, and Celebration Camp are exceptions - schedules will be set for these campers), and participate in large-group recreation and worship. Each night, campers gather for a specially planned evening of fun with age-appropriate events that are high-energy and very inclusive. The small group camp experience takes place through cabin and Bible study groups. Each day campers participate in “Morning Watch” (a time of prayer and scripture), Bible study, chapel time, camp activities, enjoy delicious meals and snacks, and participate in group recreation and singing.

These weeks will be an important part of each camper’s Christian faith development as we learn about and experience “sharing the love of Christ in the glory of God’s creation!”

Summer Camp Activities

Through the Camp Lookout summer ministry program, Campers will have the opportunity to participate in the selection of their weekly activities. In addition to the general camp daily events (described above) and the specific activities listed in the camp session descriptions, each camper will select optional activities from the list below (exceptions - Day Camp Adventures, Taste of Camp campers, and some specialized camps). These activities have been determined to be appropriate for the designated age level. Campers can choose any of the options in their camp list or activities in lists of younger campers (please note: all activities are not available each week). Bold print activities indicate high adventure programs and off-site activities.
