Volunteer  at  camp  Lookout!

For the 2023 year, we will be continuing a volunteer program with many different opportunities for those interested to give the gift of time and, not to mention, their own personal gifts and talents to Camp Lookout!

adult Volunteers

  • Adventure Activity Leadership – This volunteer program will utilize individuals who would like to share the Love of Jesus Christ with children and youth as a volunteer leader for our Adventure Programs.  This will include assisting in leading: Group initiatives,  Low Ropes course, High Ropes course, Climbing Wall, Zip-Lines, Hikes, Archery, and many other activities. We are looking to build a group of trained volunteers that will work with our campers during the summer as well as students in our school groups during the Spring and Fall.  We will begin training in many areas this Winter and Spring. This is a year-round volunteer opportunity.
  • Kitchen Staff (Paid and Volunteer) – We take pride in the delicious food we serve here at camp and consider hospitality a pillar in our ministry. As we provide many meals at camp, we are always looking to add new folks to our wonderful Kitchen Staff.  We have paid positions (work as much or as little as you would like during the summer months) as well as opportunities for volunteers who would like to lend a helping hand. This is a year-round volunteer opportunity.
  • Volunteer Nurses and Doctors for Monday Morning Health Registration – Our campers' safety and health is our number one priority at Camp Lookout. We need several Health Professionals to check-in campers each Monday morning for our summer camp sessions (First of June- First of August) to ensure that campers stay healthy and happy while at Camp Lookout.  Volunteers would be trained in our health registration system and would work alongside our Health Director to check in camp medications and organize health forms for approximately 4 hours Monday mornings starting at 9:00 a.m. This is a summer volunteer opportunity.
  • Phone Calling Team – We will develop a volunteer team to call parents each Sunday evening during summer camp sessions (first of June-first week of August) to remind them of check-in time, what to bring to camp, and answer other questions that they may have. These pre-camp phone calls give parents assurance and campers confidence going into their upcoming week at camp. This volunteer service can be done at camp or from your home. After calling your list of parents, you would make a report to the Lookout staff that evening. Training will be provided. This is a summer volunteer opportunity.

Volunteer Staff (Ages 16 and Up)*

 Stay involved with Camp Lookout as a member of volunteer staff! For former campers, volunteering enables you to give back to Camp Lookout by providing the life-changing experience that you had as a camper for other campers! For prospective staff members, volunteering is an awesome opportunity to begin or continue that journey without committing your entire summer. The best way to start is by attending our Volunteer Training Camp (registration info can be found here:)

Volunteer Training Camp (Grades 10-12)
This camp session will allow participants to experience being a camper and staff member in the same week. Campers must either be a minimum  of age 16 or entering the 10th grade. After completion, campers will have the opportunity to volunteer additional weeks during the summer.
  • 4 nights and 5 days of camp fun and excitement
  • Gain leadership skills and learn to lead and facilitate camp activities
  • Earn First Aid, CPR, and AED Certifications
  • Assist with staff duties and responsibilities
  • Awesome grade-appropriate activities from which campers create their daily schedule
