Sorry the late update! We've been having so much fun with one another so far this week! With over 110 campers on the mountain this week, there is never going to be a dull moment.
Yesterday after registration and getting settled in our cabins, we got to bond with our Bible Study groups by doing some group initiatives together. After a great picnic lunch we got to visit with some pretty awesome people who are spending the week with us. Nurse Harold told us all about how to stay healthy and safe this week while our Minister in Residence (MIR for short) Melia told us what we will be talking about in Bible Study. We also got to swim and sign up for some awesome activities. After the infamous Camp Lookout chicken patty dinner, we played some games to get to know everyone at camp. We then had milk and cookies with Don before showering and heading to bed. This morning we had pancakes and bacon before heading to our first activities of the week. Some of us were on the ropes course, some were at the horse barn, and some even went caving! Our group of kayaking high schoolers got to go to the Cartecay River to use some of their new skills. After a lunch of Petros (Chili over corm chips) we got to have some flat time to rest and recharge for our afternoon activities. We then had more fun this afternoon during our activities after our Bible Study and Chapel time with Melia. Tonight we had a great dinner of burgers, tots, and baked beans. We then did a little service time with our groups and to give back to camp. Tonight we are having a carnival with all types of fun and games. We get to make balloon hats, have our faces painted, play some ladder ball, and play soak the sucker with our counselors! Look for some great pictures of this event tomorrow. Soon we are heading to bed to gear up for another day of fun and
