What a great week! Our worship service was very special last night. Rebekka Longmire (our Minister in Residence) was joined by her husband Paul (one of the pastors at Hixson UMC) to help us celebrate Holy Communion. It was a very special time of worship and celebration (make sure you have your camper tell you all about this amazing worship). There were many tears of joy as well as concerns that were shared as we spent time in prayer with our friends and counselors.
This final morning of camp this week, we met at the pool at 6:50 for the Polar Bear swim. Out of our 86 campers, it looked like 78 of them took the "plunge" into the cold morning water!!!!! What a way to start the day.
We will have breakfast (I think I heard something about French Toast Sticks) and another round of activities (we were rained out of our Thursday afternoon activities) before we head to lunch and start packing.
It has been a jam packed week! Campers are worn-out, but they are full of joy. It has been an incredible week!
