Our staff has had such a great week with our Junior High campers! We spent the week having fun with activities like high ropes, caving, and swimming in the pool. But, we also had the pleasure of watching our campers grow in their relationships with Christ and form new friendships of their own through engaging in Bible study and worship everyday. Last night we were all able to share Communion together at the Maynard worship center, and it was a beautiful sight to see all our campers gathered together worshiping together and supporting one another. We hope that all our campers had a fantastic week and that we get to seem them back at camp very soon!!
Our Taste of Campers that were with us Wednesday through Friday also had several of their own adventures! They were able to visit the barn and pet the horses, go on a creek walk, and even had an art night! We hope we will see them soon again as well, maybe even for an entire week of camp! Have a blessed weekend everyone! We've had a great past few days with our Junior High campers! Not only have they been able to enjoy activities like the high ropes course, zipline, and creek walks, but they have also been participating in small group Bible Study with one another. Monday night they even got to show off their dance moves with some group dancing in the Chapel followed by worship and Chapel time with our MIR this week.
Last night was great as well, our campers got to rotate between several activities like a slip n' slide, shaving cream twister, and they even had coke floats for snack, all followed by more Bible study and worship! Currently our campers are participating in their morning activities. We even have some of our kayakers traveling to the river today to use the skills they learned yesterday! Tonight our campers will get to have a camp fire complete with S'Mores. It has been a great start to the week and we are looking forward to more fun and fellowship the rest of the week! wow! This week at Camp Lookout, along with our main younger elementary group of campers we also have a few specialty camps including our Outdoor High Adventure Campers or OHA as we like to say. We also have some horseback campers along with some Junior Staff Campers training with us to volunteer later in the summer! Our Elementary campers have had a great time with their activities whether it be horse back riding, zip lining, creek walks, or many more options! The rain hasn't gotten them down either! Along with their days filled with activities they also have Bible study with their small groups every afternoon along with some large Group Chapel time with our minister in residence for the week. Last night they were even able to participate in a carnival, this afternoon they have a luau at the pool to look forward to and a camp fire complete with s'mores and camp songs tonight-stay tuned for pictures tomorrow! OHA spent the last night camping at the river and are now relaxing back at camp with some pool time and will be going night caving this evening! Our Volunteer Training campers spent most of their morning learning CPR and First Aid and they have been a great help on activities this afternoon! We are really looking forward to our last full day of camp tomorrow with ALL our different campers, but will be sad to see them go on Friday! Day Camp Adventure

This afternoon is filled with activities like the high ropes course, a caving trip, and a creek walk, and many more! Tonight's activity will consist of some group dancing in the Chapel so they can show off their awesome moves! Following dancing will be another time for them to reflect and study the Bible with their small groups, followed by another great time of worship together in the Chapel. We can't believe tomorrow is already their last full day of activities and service! We are also looking forward to seeing the results of all the campers hard work around camp and here about their experiences working off site in the community!! Wow! What an awesome start to the week it has been with our Junior High Campers! Yesterday we got to know one another with some team building games and mixers in the Chapel before Bible study and Worship to end the night. Today, our campers have been working hard both on and off site to improve Camp Lookout and help various organizations around the Chattanooga area such as Widows Harvest and the Mustard Tree along with a few others! The campers spent their morning in service and are now currently spending the afternoon having some fun on the activities they signed up for yesterday! Tonight all our campers will have the chance to enjoy some time in the swimming pool! They will then end the day with small group time in their Bible study groups and worship in the Chapel. We are looking forward to another great day tomorrow filled with work and play! Day Camp Adventure is also having a fantastic start to their week! Yesterday they were able to hike down to the creek to cool off in the water and make some rock paint. Today they got to go on another adventure that consisted of a scavenger hunt around camp, followed by one of their favorite parts of the day-swimming in the pool! Our day campers also have their own small group Bible study together every day just like the big kids. We already can't wait to have them back at camp with us again tomorrow!
